This piece for unaccompanied TTBB chorus was originally written by Tomás Luis de Victoria (c.1548-1611) and has been carefully typeset with mensural notation. The Latin text translates to ‘two seraphim cried to one another: Holy is the Lord God of Sabaoth’.
Duo seraphim clamabant alter ad alterum:
Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth.
Plena est omnis terra gloria ejus.
Tres sunt, qui testimonium dant in coelo:
Pater, Verbum et Spiritus Sanctus:
et hi tres unum sunt.
