Surefire Sea Shanties
for SATB and massed chorus unaccompanied
This piece adapts well-known sea shanties and sea-based Australian folk songs into a high-energy massed choral item. A Capital Ship, Leave her Johnny, Haul Away Joe all make appearances in this arrangement. It is intended for children’s chorus and teenage changed voices. Written for the training groups of The Australian Boys Choir in 2018, this piece is well-suited as a finale to any choral concert.
