This is an original adaptation of a traditional Basque Christmas carol. Lyrics translated by Sabine Baring-Gould (1834-1924), it tells of the prophecy of the Virgin Mary as told by Gabriel.
First performed in 2020 at St Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, Burnley.
